Our Dad is the Best!

Party Time!

For Mesa's birthday we went to Planet Kid!

And then to Red Robin!

Although it was fun for Mesa, Mylie and I didn't have that great of a time from noon on. Mylie was very sick! She threw up on me at Planet Kid. At least it wasn't in the play area and it was just on the two of us not on anything else! Red Robin was a different story. Poor kid! Jen wins "the greatest friend award" for the year...she hauled us around

and helped out with my sick kid.

Mesa is 6!

Mesa and Aunt Kathy celebrated their birthdays at the hot springs. We had cake and presents and then went for a swim!

Here are my girls with my grandmas. (I think it is cute how Mylie is kissing Grandma Betty in the background. Nan and Mesa are reading cards and opening presents.)

Mylie pretty much sat on the steps the whole time. She wasn't too into "swimming" at the pool. Matt fell asleep "watching" her. It was kind of funny. Everytime he sits down and rests--no matter where we are---he falls asleep, but in a swimming pool!? That's funny!

Mylie was exhausted after swimming, but she couldn't resist the cupcakes (for the second time that day)!

Mesa is 6 now!

Mesa is 6 now! Where does the time go?! Oh how we love our MESA GIRL!!

Mesa's favorite things:
-HORSES! This kid is addicted to anything about horses!
-Pepsi, the pony. She likes to train him and she does a pretty good job at it.
-Likes to sing and dance
-Likes to read
-Likes to be in charge
-She likes to hike
-She always playing horses or playing with toy horses
-Likes to listen to Hannah Montana and into Barbie movies

Things she does to make us laugh:
-She just has to giggle and we start giggling with her.
-She makes her reasoning be known.
-She's competitive with us! (She's starting to cheat at games and then starts laughing so she blows her cover.)
-Her creativity makes us laugh

Special things just about Mesa:
-Mesa is a huge helper!
-She loves to work and initiates work on her own.
-She's very responsible.
-She is a natural teacher and really explains how to do something.
-Mesa is our little organizer and likes to clean!
-She is a care taker. I notice this when she is dealing with her great-grandparents or her little sister and sometimes even me.
-She likes to give gifts and is always thinking of others.
-She is always making up games and likes us all to play out these ideas she has.
