Meet Whiskers

Meet our newest addition. I came home a couple of days ago and I heard meowing coming from a cat carrying box.  Much to my suprise there was a cute little kitten in there.  Much to a bigger suprise, Matt was the one who brought it in the house.  There has been a wild mama kitty in the top of the hay stack and this little one fell from the top quite a while ago.  Well, mama cat finally gave up on it and abandoned it.  Matt said it meowed all day and was sure to be coyote bait by night fall.  So of course the girls fell in love immediately. Dad has never let cats in the house before and our only cat that had the rights to the house, Bailey, has hated my children since their births.  The girls were so excited to have a kitten--in the house! (They have one in the tack shed, "Snow White.")  At this point, "WHISKERS" just may be here to stay.  It's been 5 days now and she (or he?) hasn't had one slip up yet. It also loves to be loved!  Mylie packs it around all day, Mesa plays with constantly, and Ginger mothers it!  Poor cat never had a break until it found out that under the Christmas tree makes a perfect hiding spot from kids and dogs.
