Mice Chasers!

Meet our new mice chasers! Matt needed cats for his new tack shed that the mice decided to enter. We told the girls we were going to get them a surprise, and it was killing Mesa all day what we going to get them. Later that evening we drove to Homedale and let the kids pick out the ones they wanted. Mylie's is the light orange one and she named it "Mine." Mesa's is the darker orange one named "Striped." Ginger and Banjo are very good to them---hopefully the coyotes will be too (yeah right).
Today the Neilson girls and the neighbor Ginger came down and rode horses and ponies. I was impressed with the girls' and also the horses' sweet attitudes toward the kids. They rode around the round pen and arena for a couple hours. They played, imagined, trotted, walked around barrels, rode double etc. What a fun day for them despite the heat.

we just got a cat for our sheds. It was too young, and it died after a few days. Molly cried quite a bit. I love the names for your cats, Molly's was "Kit". We are going to be getting 2 more kitties in a couple of weeks. That should be fun. About that picture of me at the b-ball tournament, I never knew that I looked so buff. Have a good one getting those projects done.
