A Bite at Dinner

Tonight's dinner was running fairly smoothly. We timed it just right where Matt would be walking through the door to a hot meal on the table full of corn on the cob, broccolli, hot rolls with home made jam, ect. The girls were working hard setting the table. At about the last place setting I hear some quick arguing behind my back and then a blood curdling SCREAM from Mesa. I knew Mylie, AKA Shark Teeth, had bit her. She seems to do that when she has no other way of winning a fight with Mesa. So much for the perfect dinner from the "perfect wife and daughters." Matt walked in to a house full of screaming crying girls and cold jello on the table! One was crying because she was in pain, and the other was crying from the time-out chair because she was in trouble, feeling guilty, also had some pain---on her bum from a spanking and a bite mark from her mom. I hated doing it but I bit Mylie back to show her how it feels, not that hard of course. Needless to say, she wasn't in as much pain as Mesa, she didn't have any marks at all on her, I think she was more shocked that I did that to her!

After the crying, discussion, apologies, and forgiveness was all over with, we finally got our dinner on the table. We sat down to pray and Mylie said she wanted to pray after Mesa. Here was Mylie's dinner prayer tonight "Tank you for mommy,... gammy,.... and Meta,... and house,... and daddy,... and Cars, .....and swing set................and................. COTTAGE CHEESE!!!!" She had us all in stitches (we weren't even eating cottage cheese for dinner.) It is amazing how you can be wiping up tears one minute because a civil war broke out, and 5 minutes later, you are laughing again and are one big happy family.
