Okay, so the princess dress has not lost it's magic in Mylie's eyes. I thought the addiction to the dress would weaken at some point, but right now it has only gained strength. In fact she's in bed wearing it right now! I don't mind her wearing it all day and night, but there comes a point and time where I put my foot down. That place is called: PUBLIC! I personally would be a bit embarrassed going to town with Mylie in THE DRESS. But evidently, I guess I stand alone. A couple of weeks ago, my mom and I went to a lady's Mid-Winter's Breakaway through our church. Matt was "granted guardianship" over our children for the day. They were going to a client's house to deliver horses a couple hours away. When I left in the morning, Mylie was completely dressed in real clothes. "Apparently," by the time Matt was preparing to leave, the PRINCESS DRESS had magically been put on. "Apparently," to avoid tears, fits, and frustration, Matt let her wear her dream dress. When they arrived to their destination point, Matt left the girls with the wife of the horseowner in the house. I guess she commented, "Why, I've never babysat a princess before!" Matt said, Mylie just beamed and sauntered right in. I'm sure she was really wondering, "What was this child's mother thinking, putting her in a princess dress with no shoes or coat in the dead of winter?" When we got home, we had a good laugh over it and I thought that would be the end of it. OH NO.....My mom and dad went to town the next week. When she brought Mylie home, Mylie was in the PURPLE DRESS! All I could say to my mom was, "Seriousy?!" She laughed and said that my dad wasn't too fond of the idea either but it was easier to just give in.
Jen made the comment to let her wear THE DRESS to the next basketball game. Jen you might be surprised....
