Chief Joseph Days

This past weekend we got to go to Wallowa and Joseph, Oregon to see my grandparents and my mom's side of the family. We watched the Chief Joseph Days parade because my grandparents were in it. My grandma was celebrating her 60th year of being on the CJD rodeo court. My grandpa drove his newly remodeled 31 Model A Ford. Some of us went up to Wallowa Lake and rode the go-carts, ate shaved ice, and played in the lake for a little while. Mylie and Mesa both loved the go-carts and splashing in Wallowa Lake. We had a BBQ picnic to celebrate my Grandma Betty's 78th birthday. Later that night we watched the rodeo. On Sunday, Mesa got to go fishing with Mike, Jen, Jacob, Noah, Grandpa Merrill, and Eric. She was very excited that she got to go fishing, but was sad she, "only caught leaves." Maybe next time! It was great to see my family, it had been since Katie's wedding that we were all together.
