Little Forest Fairy Houses

A couple of weeks ago we made a business trip up near my Aunt Peggy and Uncle Guy's house to deliver horses. We were going to go camping in a cabin owned by one of Matt's clients. Well, this was the weekend it decided to rain...I mean POUR...after 90 days of no rain, it has to make up for it in this one weekend! We opted to stay in a warm house so we stayed with my Aunt Peggy and Uncle Guy. We got to see my grandparents, Krista, and Jaci. Jaci was leaving for college the next morning so we helped her pack her things. It's so much easier to pack up for someone else! On the way home we did stop off in the mountains where Matt and I use to go skiing and went on a little hike. It was still raining a bit, but not a downpour, so we bundled up and treked through the forest. It was so peaceful and silent. It was just what we needed in our everyday hecticly packed lives. (Although, the whole time we were there I was keeping one eye open for cougars! SO you could say it wasn't THAT peaceful! I am such a chicken.) While we were on the trail we decided to make little fairy houses for the forest fairies. Here is a picture of our favorite one. It comes complete with Matt's idea of a sod yard (moss), a fire pit (Mesa's idea), sidewalk, chairs, a bed, and carpet. Mesa thinks that a blue and pink fairy will most likely live in this one.

Loved the fairy houses!!! Awesome idea! I'm glad you were able to get such a memorable walk in despite the weather!! In answer to how Shayla and Logan come with such great attitudes??? I think it comes from Grandma Griffin. That woman loves, and enjoys everything!!! The glass is always full. Unfortunately Mikey and Riley got my "woe is me" attitude. It's funny how things like that get passed on to our kids.

Fairy Houses? How sweet! What a fun idea - I will definitely store this one away in my mind to do with little Ava Claire someday when she is a little bigger!
You have such adorable girls!
